Welcome to our road trip blog for our trip to Key West , Florida. This is the sixth road trip we've taken in the last seven years (2012-2018), and may be our last, though hope springs eternal, as my imagination for road trips knows no real bounds. In 2012, Clare, Conor, and I did a short jaunt to the site of the Johnstown Flood, the Horseshoe Curve, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater , and Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (alas, I kept no blog for that trip!). It was lots of fun, and I've been wanting to get back to the Hall of Fame ever since. In 2013 , after driving through Maryland, West Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico (Roswell, of UFO fame), Arizona (Painted Desert National Park), and Nevada (Hoover Dam), on and off of Route 66, Clare, Conor, and I met Suzanne in Las Vegas, stayed at the luxurious Bellagio, took in the sights, and then headed to Grand Canyon National Park .
