Dinner at Ariete

You can only eat at so many diners, drive-ins, and dives during a road trip, before you bump up against the same sorts of dishes, and we were fast reaching our limit. I was also at serious risk of incurring the wrath of Clare if we didn't broaden our horizons on the dinner front. So tonight, we decided to change it up a bit and explore the finer dining options that Miami had to offer us. Clare did some excellent research and selected Ariete, a restaurant in the Coconut Grove section of Miami, that  offers, according to its website, "innovative cuisine in a new-American-meets-New-World way." Clare, Conor and I went with the Miami Spice option which gave each of us an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. According to Conor, his selection was "life changing" - he started with the avocado bib salad and grilled oysters, had the pan-roasted venison as the main course, and chose flan for dessert. He was very pleased with his selections, as were the rest of us. We all gave it five stars.
